My Favorites át This Restaurant are Duck Soup With Green mustárd Leaves, roadsted duck and Green Chinese Spinach. Also the eggdrop Siup!

A solid takeout Chinese restaurant. My friend and I ordered City Lights of China for pickup on Christmas Eve. We split the steamed vegetarian dumplings and I ordered the Peking duck as my main dish. The vegetarian dumplings were extremely disappointing. While they were perfectly steamed, the dumplings were a bit too doughy and the filling was relatively tasteless. However, the Peking duck was fantastic. For $25, I got a great portion size that allowed for leftovers. The duck was very good-perfectly cooked with crispy skin, juicy meat, and a delicious plum dipping sauce. I would recommend City Lights of China for your next fast meal or if you want Chinese food.

We ordered in, but not being from DC, we didn't know who had really good Chinese food available for delivery Christmas Eve. We found City Lights of China on Yelp, read the reviews, and gave them a call. The restaurant had a limited menu for the holidays, so we're ordered the Crispy Beef, Green Beans, and Egg Drop Soup. It was delivered more quickly than expected and was delicious!

City Lights is solid. Reliable. Consistent. Exactly what you want. No fuss Chinese takeout. Classic dishes, some dim sum items too. While I'm sad they no longer have a full restaurant in Dupont Circle, the location in Adams Morgan is far more convenient for me. From Woodley Park, I can take a 20 minute walk to pick up, or order delivery which comes in less than an hour. I'm so glad they're still here.

After a long cold day of seeing the sights around DC we wanted a filling dinner while relaxing in the hotel room. Ordered our food on Uber Eats. Our food arrived very promptly and still very hot. We ordered the chicken dumplings, sweet and sour chicken with fried rice, and Singapore style rice noodles. The dumplings were perfectly pan fried and tasty. The sweet and sour chicken was a nice bite size, crispy and not oily, and the sauce had a nice balance of sweet and sour taste. I ordered the Singapore rice noodles at the normal spice level and was pleasantly surprised at the immediate aroma of curry before I opened the bowl. The first bite provided a great taste and warming spice that I expected along with the lip numbing spice. I would definitely order from this restaurant again to try more of their menu.

So grateful to have this restaurant in AdMo now! It's easy to order with a person or on the kiosk. I loved the crispy sesame chicken with great rice and a pretty good egg roll too. The siu mai was good as well but better to stick with a dim sum place like Han Palace for that. I'll definitely order here again!
